Problem:

1 Liter of Hydrogen at STP (0 degrees C and 1 atmosphere of pressure) is burned in a surplus of Oxygen. How much water is produced?

Solution:

1. Hit UNDO button until all text windows are clear.

2. Enter H2+O2=>H2O in the long top window.

3. Hit SUBMIT button.

4. Push the GASES/VAPORS button to access that sheet.

6. Enter 0 in the degC column of H2.

7. Enter 1 in the atm column of H2.

8. Enter y in the ideal? column of H2.

9. Push the BASIC QUANTITIES button to access that sheet again.

10. Enter 1 in the Liters column of H2.

11. Push the CALCULATE button.

12. Read the window at the intersection of Grams and H20. (0.80385)
