ONE QUICK NOTE




One quick note before the final section of exercises. If all the coefficients are integers and they can all be divided by a factor in common, you should divide them all by that factor. The most typical case will be if they are all even numbers. Then you should divide them all by 2. Let's look at a quick example:

8 NH3 + 10 O2 => 8 NO + 6 H2O

All of the above coefficients are even so they can all be divided by 2. This gives:

4 NH3 + 5 O2 => 4 NO + 3 H2O
